The 2022 Tackling Trauma Conference will feature the impacts of trauma on individuals, families, the workplace and the community. This will include presentations from agencies and trauma experts addressing trauma and bringing awareness and education to mainstream society. We are pleased to introduce you to our speakers.

Session: Healing Through Culture 

Lois is a proud member of the Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation. She loves her roles as a mother, grandmother, daughter and relative to many. Her current role is an Indigenous Social Work Masters student in Leadership with completion date August 2023. Lois has been a CFS Director for several years, ensuring culture was rooted in all the programs and services her agency delivered, as culture is a strong pathway to healing.

Our target audience includes emergency response workers, crisis workers, healthcare workers, front-line workers, social workers, family support workers, parent aides, clinicians working for not-for-profit community organizations, First Nations and child and family services.
